A relatively small retail mall located in a traditional area of Shanghai, Bazaar competed against established shopping centers in Shanghai’s CBD area. To achieve success in this environment, they sought a unique banding perspective that could differentiate it from the competition.
TASK:
Identica successfully created a brand strategy to market this retail space as a family and kid-focused ‘neighbourhood destination.’ The marketing proposed distinctive dining experiences combined with unique one-of-a-kind retail brands that served the community’s needs. While the mall itself has a modern aesthetic, the marketed perception focused on old Shanghai and its traditional neighbourhoods. Ads focused on the simple life, uninterrupted by technology, in addition to true human connection and neighbourly values that are so rare today.
